The BioEnergy Texas Coalition (BETX) is an initiative funded by private
individuals, corporations, and foundations to accelerate research &
development, business development, and the integration of renewable
energy technologies and fuels in Texas. The Coalition will create forums
for the leveraging of Texas assets and resources in support of the
industry’s growth throughout the State, resulting in increased investment
and job creation for positive economic development impact.
It is the goal of BETX to bring recognition, education, and promotion to
the renewable energy industry in Texas, supporting its development
across the State. This will be primarily accomplished through the hosting
of a Conference which will serve as a catalyst for business growth, and
by providing leadership for on-going Industry Development Meetings.
BETX is sponsoring the BioEnergy Texas – Conference 2006. The
Conference will provide a forum for industry stakeholders to meet, share
ideas, learn of state and national programs & policy directives, develop
business and finance strategies, and foster economic development in the
Texas renewable energy industry.
The formal designation for this organization is: TRAC/BioEnergy Texas
Coalition (BETX). BETX is established in affiliation with the Technology
Research Assistance Consortium, (TRAC), and is one of TRAC’s industry
initiatives. The entity is organized as a 501(c)3, nonprofit coalition with a
Board of Directors, an Advisory Board, a Research & Education Council,
and members and underwriters who are working in support of bioenergy
in the State of Texas.
